Karen Civil joined Hot 97’s Laura Stylez, Ebro and Peter Rosenberg to talk her rise from Hot 97 intern to Cultural Artigé. Starting out on Funkmaster Flex’s show as an intern to the WeezyThanksYou website during Lil Wayne’s stint behind bars, her finesse for all things social media has contributed to her journey.

The Elizabeth, New Jersey native detailed her own intern obstacles that allowed her to learn that with hard work and persistence any goal is attainable.

Karen and host Rosenberg also took some time during the on-air interview to squash a long-standing beef between the two. “Listen me and Rosenberg are good. This is what he does, he gets really emotional and sometimes I have male traits so I can’t figure out how to stroke it and make him feel good,” she explained on the issues between the two. “I will comment and say something on Instagram and he will wait till the wee hours to say something snooty.”

“You filled in on our show when your brand was getting big but wasn’t quite where it is now I just didn’t get any sense of loyalty to the show after that,” Rosenberg followed up.

Courtesy of Ebro’s “Dr. Phil” moment, the two hashed it out and there is definitely no bad blood. Currently on her Live Civil and Be You tour, watch the full interview to hear the background story behind it and more.
