It’s been 14 years since we got an album to follow up D’Angelo’s Voodoo. The soul singer’s gotten fans excited by announcing that his next album, Black Messiah, may come as early as next week.

It appears that we’re now getting a taste of what’s to come. D’Angelo and his band, The Vanguard, have release a song entitled “Sugah Daddy,” which they’ve been performing on tour since 2012. This is a soulful track reminiscent of he sound that had people in love with the Brown Sugar singer.
