Young Money’s Mack Maine sat down with Felisha Monet from Miami’s WEDR 99 Jam to clear the air about what’s going on with Lil Wayne, Tha Carter V and the status of YMCMB.

Mack Maine isn’t able to provide a specific date on the release of Tha Carter V, but was confident in saying that the album will be released in the first quarter of 2015, until then it’s “free C5.”

Mack was hesitant to put the blame on the album delay, which lead to Lil Wayne speaking out about his frustrations on twitter, on the shoulders of Birdman.

“Me personally, I would’t say that,” said the Young Money President about blaming Birdman on the delay of the album. “It’s a lot of stuff that goes on with putting a album out and it’s way more behind the scenes that goes on with deadlines and stuff like that. Everybody should want this album to be out anyway, in any company. It’s actually four companies that’s actually involved in the Young Money/Cash Money universe and we have a silent partner that we haven’t announced yet… So, all four of those companies actually reap big benefits from Tha Carter V. You know the expectations of Tha Carter V. So I wouldn’t pinpoint any one person.”

Mack went on to confirm that Tha Carter V is still expected to be a two-part album and talk about Drake’s status after allegedly getting into a physical altercation with Diddy.
