Today (Dec. 13), has been set aside as a day for frustrated citizens across the country, and the world, to express their discomfort with the racial climate in America. For many, the presence of racism has been brought to light following the decision to not indict the officers responsible for killing Michael Brown and Eric Garner.

Protests began as early as this morning in cities across the nation, like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and many, many more for people to stand in solidarity against racism and police brutality.

A variety of hashtags to support the protests have been born through social media, like #ShutItDown and #DayofResistance. But, of course, #BlackLivesMatter and #ICantBreathe can still be seen everywhere.

The #MillionsMarchNYC is rumored to be 30 blocks long and have more than 50,000 participants.

This is an issue that effects all people. Which is why push from celebrities has come from everyone spanning from musicians to athletes, and news anchors to politicians.

Check back here for photos and details on the protests throughout the day.
