If you thought 2014 was finished as far as new releases go, think again. Nipsey Hussle joins in on the 4th quarter fun by announcing a new project titled Mailbox Money expected to drop this month in addition to his 31-city tour set to kickoff at the top of the year. Following up on his critically acclaimed Crenshaw project, and the Proud2Pay format that came with it, Nipsey plans to follow suit with Mailbox Money. Here’s what Nipsey Hussle told MTV about his new project:

It will be released for free, on iTunes and via the Proud2Pay platform we built with the realese of Crenshaw. There will only be 100 hard copies and they are $1,000 each. The 100 people that buy the P2P version will be granted access to a private advance listening session of “Victory Lap” (upcoming album) at the secrect Marathon Store we are going to open the day of the listening!

Nipsey recently sat down with MTV to discuss the release of his new project Mailbox Money and why he’s choosing to virtually go the same route with this release as he did with Crenshaw. In addition to that, Nipsey dropped a brand new track titled “50 N**gaz” produced by Mike & Keys and 1500 or Nothin off of the aforementioned project Mailbox Money. The gifts just keep on coming.

The LA native added, “It’s all original music. Being honest, these ain’t mixtapes, they’re albums. These original songs, concepts, the biggest producers, the biggest rappers in the game are a part of [it] and bringing creativity to [it]. I don’t want to devalue it by calling it a mixtape. It’s really just music — more conversations for my people.” Nip told MTV that Hit-Boy produced “something special” and that he had a track with DJ Mustard, as well as Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug.
