Kendrick Lamar has his fans at the edges of their seats these days as he preps his upcoming sophomore album, which has no official release date in sight, but they do have a guarantee of something to look forward to next year.

While they wait on the anticipated project to come, the TDE rapper has also worked out a deal with the L.A. Museum Of Contemporary Art, where they will be showing his m.A.A.d. movie from March 21 to July 27th in 2015.

The short film, which premiered at Sundance NEXT Fest, is 14 minutes long, and was inspired by Kendrick’s debut album from 2012 good kid, m.A.A.d city.

A synopsis of the movie reads:

Kahlil Joseph’s double-screen projection m.A.A.d is a lush portrait of contemporary Los Angeles. From barbershops to marching bands, from homeboys drinking in the streets to the iconic carpet of shimmering lights, the camera in m.A.A.d sinuously glides through predominantly African American neighborhoods in Los Angeles catching a dizzying array of quotidian moments suffused with creativity, joy, and sadness. Joseph’s film is accompanied by a thick booming soundtrack provided by emerging hip-hop star Kendrick Lamar and indeed m.A.A.d is part of the title of Lamar’s highly acclaimed second album Good Kid m.A.A.d. City.

Are you guys going to make the trip to go see the film?
