Rihanna’s taken considerable seps into the direction of philanthropy through her Claire Lionel Foundation, the charity named after her grandparents, Claire and Lionel Braithwhate. Rihanna’s next venture will be the first annual Diamond Ball, a black tie charity event where she’ll be performing with an orchestra.

According to Rolling Stone, the event will be open to 600 invited guests that come from the realms of “entertainment and business executives to celebrities and philanthropists.”

Rihanna founded the Claire Lionel Foundation in 2012 to “improve quality of life in areas of health, education, culture and arts for communities across the globe. ”

“One of the greatest benefits of my job was being able to start the Clara Lionel Foundation in honor of my grandparents,” the singer says in a statement. “There is truly nothing I’m more proud of, and we’ve just gotten started. I’m excited to continue my work and thrilled to be able to host the Diamond Ball – a night that promises to be elegant and inspirational.”

The Diamond Ball will take place Dec. 11 at The Vineyard in Beverly Hills.

Rihanna is such a great amalgamation of r&b and pop. There’s a new group called Fifth Harmony who embodies the same genre breaking sonics with a new vibe. Check them out, y’all won’t be sorry.
