Mila J loves to keep her ensembles clean, despite her tomboy-inspired style that she debuts whether she’s shopping, performing on stage, or going on a first date. “I used to get sent home from school because my clothes were too big. I’m just more comfortable in guy clothes and making that a little more feminine,” she said. “It has to be comfortable. I like actually cleaner lines. I don’t like a lot of logos everywhere.”

We got a chance to go shopping with the Cali-native at 3NY in SoHo, NYC, where she showed us how she mixes her masculine pieces with feminine flare.

“I’m like an extreme personality. I’m either really tomboyish, or I’m like edgy and sexy. There’s kind of no grey area for me,” she said.

While shopping Mila describes her idea of a perfect date and what’s up next for her this year. She also dishes on her reaction to Trey Songz’s “She so fine” captioned Instagram last month, who she strictly claims that they are “friends.”
