Chief Keef

Chief Keef joined Interscope’s roster back in the Summer of 2012 with a promising career to follow after his debut album, Finally Rich, quickly followed in December. Since the project, however, the only news associated with Keef has been focused less on rap and more on his growing rap sheet.

According to AllHipHop, an unnamed source within Interscope stating that the label reportedly dropped Chief Keef. “Interscope began to ‘subtly disassociate’ itself from the 19-year-old rapper after he had a series of legal cases sprout up in 2013 and 2014.”  the source says. “Keef and his people tried to keep the label accountable (once Keef moved to Los Angeles) but Interscope didn’t seem interested in dropping a new album. Keef’s team tried to have formal meetings but nothing moved.”

The source reports that the label began to “quietly disassociate” themselves from the rapper. Stay tuned for an official announcement from either parties.
