Cee-Lo Green entered a plea of no contest earlier this week to charges from a 2012 incident in which he allegedly gave a 33-year-old woman ecstasy without her consent during a dinner in Los Angeles. The woman claims that she woke up next to Green in bed, unsure of the previous night’s events, but his lawyer argues that the two had “consensual relations.”

No sex related charges were filed due to a lack of evidence however Green was sentenced to three years probation and 45 days of community service. Though he is already sentenced, the producer felt it necessary to further clear his name on Twitter where he launched into a series of interesting tweets.

Cee-Lo tweeted his thoughts on the definitions of rape and discounted the validity of certain instances. “If someone is passed out they’re not even WITH you consciously,” he tweeted. “People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!”

He has since deleted the tirade saying, “I will not allow that negative energy to loiter on my time line.”
