The whole Capcom sponsorship is starting to make sense with subtle thematic promotions popping up while we inch closer to the Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour opening night. Aside from the trailer that resembled an opening scene from popular game Street Fighter, the tour will have its own interactive Street Fighter app.

“We are both thrilled that our fans will get the unique opportunity to join us in this interactive experience,” Drake and Lil Wayne said in a statement.

The new app will allow fans to select their city, choose a side (Drizzy or Weezy) during each night’s rap battle and “button smash: as if they were playing the latest Ultra Street Fighter IV game to help their rapper pick “power up” and impact their performances in real time, Billboard reports. The new app was developed by Echo Park-based production company, iam8bit, in collaboration with Drake’s October’s Very Own, Young Money Entertainment and Capcom.

The tour kicks off this Friday (August 8) at the Darien Center. Which side will you be on?
