Chris Brown’s X has its final release date pending no other hiccups steer it to becoming delayed again. His double-disc album with 10 songs a piece is going to take some very long nights in the studio as he explained to his fans via Instagram that he has “about 50 songs” to sift through.

Set to arrive September 16, the world will finally have the opportunity to experience the many meanings of X, according to the crooner. “The song and the album title ‘X’ has a couple different meanings,” Breezy explained in an interview with MTV. “It can refer to an ex-girlfriend, in terms of you always look forward to moving forward from. It’s also about being a reject in a sense. In me being myself, being able to grow up, me not always hanging around the right crowd or doing the right thing all the time—it’s me saying, ‘I’m over it. I’m past the bullsh– now.'”

X will feature production from Diplo and former Timbaland protege Danja as well as host appearances from Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar and more. Watch the video announcement on the following page.
