When you reach a certain level of success in life, memories of your past can make you emotional. For Jay Z, this came true when he was writing his verse to Jeezy’s new track “Seen It All” off of Jizzle’s upcoming album.

Jeezy was recently in Atlanta to shoot the video for his lead single “Me OK” and took a moment to chat with MTV. He was asked about Jay’s involvement on “Seen It All” and how the record came about. Apparently, “Seen It All” was originally going to be featured on Jay’s previous albumĀ Magna Carta Holy Grail, but because of how powerful Jeezy knew it would end up being, he wanted to save it for his upcoming albumĀ Seen It All.

So, once Jeezy had his verse written and the first half of the hook, he sent it over to Jay and in no more than 30-40 minutes, Jay sent it back to Jeezy and told him, “Yo Jeezy, when I was writing the verse I had tears in my eyes, man” because of the memories of how tough life was for Jay growing up in Marcy. That’s pretty admirable of Jay to admit.

Take a look at the short interview clip on the following page and give “Seen It All” a spin right here.
