Jim Jones Says A$AP Mob Not From Streets

Just because they from Harlem don’t mistake Dipset and A$AP Mob to be of the same background. Jim Jones told XXL, “They Weren’t From The Streets,” in regards to A$AP Rocky, Ferg and the rest of the team. Jones shared that although both sets of rappers are from Harlem there is a difference in their backgrounds and they are not like the Diplomats.

“They weren’t from the street, they’re a good group of kids and they’re artistic, but they’re not from the street and their style is way different than what we do,” Jim Jones told XXL. “I’m not trying to disrespect them – A$AP Mob is doing it, they got their numbers and they’re doing what they like to do – but they’re nothing like the Diplomats.”

Also during the interview, Jones acknowledged the reunion of G-Unit stating that there “Ain’t no tensions,” citing they have gained momentum and giving them a shout out.

Not to leave his own crew out of the New York Rap Group conversation, Jim Jones boasted on the influence of Dipset comparing the group to likes of N.W.A.

Currently we can hear records from G-Unit and A$AP Mob, hopefully we get some new records from the Dips soon. Take a read of Jim Jones full views on A$AP Mob on the next page.
