While in New Orleans for the Essence Music Festival, Sevyn Streeter took time to gather with friends and family in the French Quarter in celebration of her birthday, which is August 7. Muriel’s Jackson Square restaurant served as the location for the Rosa Regale and Beautiful Textures sponsored bash.

On hand to celebrate the singer’s day was her mother, father, other family members, close childhood friends and stars and industry executives like Trey Songz, Angela Simmons, Raheem DeVaughn, Kenny Burns and Rob Hill Sr. Also on hand was Tank who serenaded Sevyn with a presentation of “Happy Birthday”, fulfilling one of her dreams.

A day after the birthday celebration, Sevyn took the stage at Essence Fest for the first time taking over the Ford Superlounge.
