Erykah Badu took over Pix11’s Mario Diaz’s live newscast when she rolled up on the unsuspecting anchor this past weekend. Initially making lewd gestures behind him, the singer eventually attempts to grab a kiss while Diaz reported on Shia Labeouf’s recent arrest.

Badu’s lips happened to miss the mark when Diaz blocked her but like a true professional kept on with his newscast. Semi-disguised in an oversized hat and blazer, the Texas bred crooner attempted to deny that it was her in the video but later came clean and apologized to Diaz on Twitter.

While Mario may have been embarrassed on air he kept it all in stride and accepted her apology, “@fatbellybella I get it because… “Ain’t no particular sign I’m more compatible with I just want your extra time and your….. kiss””

To add to the craziness of the moment, Diaz’s wife and two-year-old were just a few steps away when it all happened. “@fatbellybella #Btw my wife and 2-year-old were 20 yards away when it happened… She saw the roll up, you putting on hat & everything.”
