Hip hop and reggae are finding more ways to mix and mingle. After Bunji Garlin appeared on Summer Jam‘s stage as the first reggae artist, Popcaan reels in Pusha T for a new track, “Hustle.” Picking up where his mentor Vybz Kartel left off, the dancehall artist is looking to push the genre in a new direction in his upcoming album Where We Came From. 

“But tings ah mi go through, [my friends] Buzzman and Grizzle and Frass—dem go through it with mi same way. So Where We Come From is based off of everybody life, not just Popcaan alone,” the reggae artist said in an interview with The Fader. 

The 13-track project is executive produced by Dre Skull and incorporates uplifting harmonies and plenty of club tracks. Check out the Pusha-assisted “Hustle” below and cop Where We Came From on iTunes today.
