Funk Flex took over Hot 97 in response to Dame Dash’s complaints about “culture vultures,” also known as industry executives, that were delivered on Instagram.

If you haven’t kept up with the dispute that kicked off at the top of the week, Dash used the gram to post Joie Manda, an Interscope executive and former Def Jam President, with accusations of attempting to hindering the careers of artists . After the accusations, Flex, a friend of Manda, defended the executive leading to multiple Dash Instagram responses and the eventual rant.

With the classic bombs sound effect opening the rant, Funk Flex cut the currently playing Trey Songz track, provided some insight to the current rift between he and Dame Dash, before unleashing a rant of history and more. Flex provided information on Dash’s hard work, his first trip to Roc-A-Fella Records which he learned from and then exploded into attempting to make an understanding of what Dash referred to as culture vultures.
