Jennifer Lopez returned to her block yesterday (June 4) to kick off State Farm’s Neighborhood Sessions free concert series. Old and new fans swarmed the Bronx, New York’s Orchard Beach in Pelham Bay Park for a glimpse of their hometown hero.

Her 90-minute set was nothing short of what she would offer during a sold-out concert. Fully equipped with multiple wardrobe changes, a laser show, fireworks and flames, J. Lo took on the stage with her dance crew and two background singers.

The 44-year-old opened the show with one of her latest records, “Same Girl,” and went down a list of  past hits including: “Love Don’t Cost A Thing,” “If You Had My Love,” “I’m Into You,” “Waiting For Tonight” and “Get Right.” She even took a moment to pay tribute to late Latin singer Selena as well as cover Diana Ross’ “Theme from Mahogany” and Barbra Streisand’s “My Man.”

Jennifer Lopez did not neglect songs off her forthcoming album A.K.A. She performed her latest singles “First Love” and was joined by fellow Bronx-native to perform “I Luh Ya Papi.” The Coke Boys rep wasn’t the only surprise guest to pop up during the free concert as Fat Joe graced the stage to perform his hit, “Lean Back.”

While he may not be from the Bronx, Queens rapper Ja Rule also made it onto the stage to perform “Ain’t It Funny” and “I’m Real” alongside Lopez. The night would not have been complete without J. Lo closing the night with “Jenny From The Block.”
