G-Unit: 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Buck

After reuniting at last night’s epic Summer Jam festival, the G-Unit clique decides to keep the ball rolling with a hot new remix to HS87’s new track “Grindin’ My Whole Life” deemed “Nah I’m Talkin Bout”. Picking up right where they left off 5 years ago, 50, Banks, Buck and Yayo (along with Kidd Kidd) return as a collective to dismantle the gritty Hit-Boy instrumental, reminding fans that they’ve been grinding forever. If you didn’t know better, you’d think this song came out 10 years ago the way these guys sound together.

Following the Unit’s incredible performance last night, 50 posted a picture on Instagram of them 4 with the caption reading, Things go the way I say they go. now I think it’s time we get busy. This can only mean that last night’s showdown and today’s powerful remix is just the beginning of what 50 has planned for G-Unit this Summer. Will we see a group project before 2014’s over? Is there a G-Unit tour in the near future? Only time will tell, but let’s hope for all of the above.

Aside from reuniting one of hip-hop’s most prolific groups ever, 50 made multiple headlines from his Summer Jam performance. First, he joined Nas on stage for what will become a historical moment in New York hip-hop, he then premiered the official remix to Fab’s “Cuffin Season” record for the first time, then he brought out Yo Gotti and Trey Songz for 2 shutdown performances, and in the midst of all that, his crew allegedly snuffed Slow from Slowbucks and snatched his chain.
