Macklemore Jewish Disguise

Macklemore’s good intentions were recently caught under fire after appearing at a surprise performance in full costume. Meant to shock the crowd by appearing as someone who doesn’t look like himself, his get-up offended the Jewish community for stereotypical nuances such as an oversized nose and beard.

“Disguise was the intention. I personally thought I looked very ambiguous in terms of any “type” of person. Some people there thought I looked like Ringo, some Abe Lincoln. If anything I thought I looked like Humpty Hump with a bowl cut,” he explains in a full statement on his website.

When the photos hit the net many responded to the “Same Love” rapper as being hypocritical. Actor Seth Rogen fired shots on Twitter saying, “first you trick people into thinking you’re a rapper, now you trick them into thinking you’re Jewish?”

Surprised for the backlash, the Seatlle rapper has admits his poor judgement and apologizes for the offense. Read Macklemore’s full apology on the next page.
