Tyler, the Creator tapped Mark Ryden when it came to creating the artwork for his last album, Wolf. Ryden agreed to do so if Tyler also agreed to be a part of his upcoming “The Gay Nineties West” exhibit that had artists like Tyler, Katy Perry, and more make their own versions of the 1892 Henry Dacre song “Daisy Bell (Bicycle Built For Two.)” Read a message that Tyler wrote about the experience below and check out the song on the next page:

“I WAS 15 AND BLOWN AWAY BY MARK RYDENS ART WORK, IT WAS LIKE THE SHIT THAT REALLLLLLY CONNECTED WITH ME ALL THE BRIGHT COLORS BUT FUCKED UP SHIT, BUT I ALWAYS SAID ONE DAY I’LL GET THIS DUDE TO DRAW ME AND HE DID LAST YEAR ( WOLF ALBUM COVER) AND IN EXCHANGE HE ASKED IF I DID A SONG FOR AN UPCOMING ART SHOW HE HAS ENTILED ‘THE GAY 90S’. MYSELF, KATY PERRY AND SOME OTHERS ALL MADE OUR OWN VERSION OF THIS SONG ENTITLED ‘DAISY BELL’, HERE IS MINE. AND GO LOOK TO HIS ART SHOW IN HOLLYWOOD AND KOHN GALLERY!”
