JoJo has turned a new leaf. Since leaving Blackground Records, JoJo has been settling into her new home at Atlantic and is finally working on her long-awaited album.

“It’s so refreshing to be at a new home and have a different experience. It’s so exciting!” she told Rap-Up TV. “I wake up every day having energy in places that I thought I didn’t anymore. I just feel so encouraged and optimistic, and I haven’t felt that way in so long.”

Hitting the ground running, JoJo plans to hit the studio with Da Internz, Gino Barletta (“Disaster”), and Noisecastle III as well as Pharrell Williams.

“It’s just been so long since I’ve released an album that really what I wanna bring is just quality,” she said. “I wanna bring big songs. I want them to touch a wide range of people and I really want it to represent my very best work. I’m really not thinking about what other people are doing. I’m thinking about representing my personal best, delivering powerful vocals, and being honest and as raw as possible.”
