Oprah interviews Pharrell Williams

Oprah Winfrey has gone from being a household name to a billion-dollar brand over the course of her successful career. Now that she has the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), she’s been putting more focus on her specialty of intimate interviews with people that normally wouldn’t be an open book. Over the years, she’s interviewed countless icons around the world, some in hip-hop, and gotten nothing but truth in return, even when asking the hard questions.

Oprah’s had her own set of issues with the hip-hop community in the past, minor beefs with rappers and making efforts to ban the N-word. But a lot of those “beefs” were swept away as misunderstandings when they sat down and hashed things out. She’s visited the Marcy Projects with Jay Z, tapped into 50 Cent’s softer side and even made Pharrell Williams cry tears of joy.

It’s time to take a look at what artists in hip-hop Oprah could interview next. Some of them would just be great to see in the same room as her, and for others, it would be just as enjoyable to watch them let it all out with her as they travel through the retelling of their life’s stories. –Keith Reid-Cleveland (@kreid_c)
