In preparation for his Washington D.C. assault trial, Chris Brown has been taken by U.S. Marshalls from Los Angeles County Jail. Mark Geragos, attorney for Breezy, confirmed with the LA Times that the “Loyal” singer has been transported by federal marshals to the San Bernadino County Jail to await being taken to Washington D.C.

Chris Brown was set to be flown to the East Coast by federal authorities, however Geragos was seeking to block the move and transport Brown himself for time to confer with his client.

Chris Brown’s court date in D.C. is scheduled to take place on April 17.
