It goes without question that sneaker heads go to great lengths to ensure they cop a limited edition pair of kicks. So it is no surprise that a mass of people swarmed the SoHo, New York store yesterday (Apr. 2) following the announcement of Supreme Foamposites dropping today (Apr. 3). The crowd was so unmanageable it stopped traffic, flooded the sidewalk and street causing some non violent chaos.

Failed attempts by the NYD to disperse the crowd soon led to a handmade sign by trapped Supreme store employees stating the release was cancelled due to public safety. Supreme would confirm the message via Instagram citing that NY customers would still be able to purchase the kicks online.
