NBA Green Week Presented By Sprint Tips Off

Today the NBA along with Sprint began NBA Greek Week, which was created to encourage all fans to go green and work toward protecting the environment. During NBA Green Week, the league, the teams and the players will be involved in programs and events for environment sustainability.

Taking NBA Green Week to social media, if fans use the #NBAGreen hashtag and also tag @Sprint will be entered to win a trip to the NBA Finals among other prizes. That has tag will also have an impact on our environment as each time the hashtag is used NBA, Sprint and the Arbor Day Foundation will plant a tree.

Taking NBA Green Week to styler, Grammy winner, Oscar nominee and Billboard chart leader Pharrell Williams partnered his textile company Bionic Yarn with NBA and Adidas for commemorative T-Shirts and plastic bottoms for the week, which will be available on NBAStore.com during the NBA post season. Adidas will also provide organic shooting shirts and uniforms during the week.

In addition to possibly winning a trip the Finals, fans have the opportunity to participate in the Sprint Buyback Program which can provide a credit to current customers and newcomers who are recycling unwanted wireless devices. The credit, which can be placed toward a new item, can be worth up to $300. Sprint will also host events in L.A. and Boston where you can win tickets to NBA games and meet with NBA players of today and the past.

Running through April 10, NBA Green Week is also brought in part by the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Green Sports Alliance.
