With this new partnership, where do you see the show going? What do you hope to accomplish with Revolt?

Charlamagne Tha God: It can only go up. I don’t see how it could hurt too much. The key is for us to just continue to do us. We shouldn’t conform to television, we should make television conform to us because anything that damages the integrity of the radio show will damage the overall brand of The Breakfast Club. So as long as we keep the integrity of the radio show, we should be fine.

Angela Yee: People always said they would love to see our show live, so this gives a great opportunity for something like that to happen. Revolt hasn’t been around that long yet, so I love the fact that we’re going to be one of the anchors of the network. That’s really exciting for us, and it’s all going to be a learning process.

That’s very true. What are some things we might see now that the show is live?

DJ Envy: I don’t think we’re going to change anything. What you’re going to get is what we do every morning. I make my green juice every morning, so you’re going to see me with my blender making my green juice.

Angela Yee: Charlamagne pulls down his pants when he farts, so you’re going to see that because he can’t fart with his pants up.

Charlamagne Tha God: I don’t fart in my clothes.

DJ Envy: You’re going to see all that and that’s the amazing side of it. It might not be comfortable for everybody, it might be awkward, but you’re going to see it.

Um, yeah. Just a little. What do you think this does for radio broadcasting?

Charlamagne Tha God: It definitely moves the culture of radio forward. But the truth of the matter is you can only get to this level if you establish yourself on the great level of radio first. We had to be great at one thing before we were able to do this. You know in Belly when they said “put the weed in the bag first”? We had to put the weed in the bag first, develop a great show and get to this level. You have to get to one level before you get to the next.
