Ricky Spicer – the former lead vocalist of boy band The Penderosa Twins Plus One – is suing Kanye West, Roc-A-Fella Records and three other affiliated labels for the use of his vocals on “Bound 2,” according to Page Six. Spicer claims he was shocked while listening to the radio when he recognized the sample from his group’s 1971 hit “Bound.”

According to court papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday, Spicer is demanding that West and his label stop using the song as well as pay him an undisclosed amount of money. Hopefully Kanye and the label went through the proper avenues to clear the vocal sample.
