Chris Brown appeared at a progress hearing in Los Angeles court Monday (December 16) morning where he was denied probation for the second time this year. Supreme Court Judge James R. Brandin ruled against Brown following his recent arrest of misdemeanor assault in Washington, D.C., according to ABC.

The judge is, however, impressed with the R&B singer’s progress in rehab and has ordered another follow-up hearing to be scheduled on February 10. Breezy will also appear in court January 10 for the D.C. assault case.

The X Files crooner was denied probation earlier this year after a misdemeanor hit-and-run in Los Angeles as well as concerns to his only completing 60 of his 1,000 hours of community service, according to his probation report.
