Aside from being a multi-platinum rapper, The Game is also known as a philanthropic figure in Los Angeles and abroad. In continuing with his passion for the community and the holiday season, the Compton-born rapper is raising money with ‘top-ranking LA gang members’ to cover the expenses for Talib Pecantte’s funeral, a young boy who was killed in Mid-City Los Angeles on Monday evening.

The newest Young Money signee told TMZ that he has already raised 7,000.00 from Crip, Blood, and Latin gangs across the greater LA area. Although the lump sum will cover the current total for the services, Game plans to continue his push on the family’s behalf until the fundraiser reaches its peak.

In efforts to promote unity and positivity during the holiday season, the “Celebration” rapper also plans to engage rival gang leaders and members alike to implement a ‘cease fire’ to avoid anymore tragedy during this time of year.

Hats off to The Game and condolences to all those whose families have fallen victim to gang violence.
