One of the most vocal oppositions to Trinidad Jame$‘ claim that “the south runs New York, musically,” came from Maino. Audio has been released of a phone conversation between the two where the Atlanta rapper tries to explain his position while Maino bullies him in his defense of New York. Most of the almost six-minute conversation belongs to Maino where he voices his opinion that Trinidad shouldn’t feel that he can go to another city and disrespect that city.  – Keith Reid-Cleveland
