Karen-Civil-Source-PushaCoverPusha T has had a great year thus far, so it comes as no surprise that The Source magazine called upon him to cover 1 of their 2 end of the year December issues. The Virginia MC shares the dual covers–his first major print look as a solo artist–with Rick Ross.

“The Source is where we get a bird’s eye view of the evolution of hip-hop,” says Push. “A cover to commemorate My Name Is My Name is dope. Pun intended.”

During the interview Pusha T discussed his feelings on Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse saying, “I’m glad Kendrick said what he said. That’s supposed to be the attitude of every rapper, so that verse didn’t really mean that much to me. It’s about raising the bar.”

He openly talks about working with perfectionist Kanye West, life as a drug-dealer, and possibly a new Clipse album.

The new issue hits stands on November 26. – Shanae Hatchett
