Jim Jones and Chrissy Lampkin sat down with the Hot 97 crew to talk about their wedding plans, Jim’s relationship with Dipset and Chrissy “dodging bullets” at the recent shooting at the Garden State Plaza Mall.

“We definitely arrive at separate times, it’s usually like that,” said Jones about Dipset’s relationship. “But, nah, it’s cool. Everybody’s cool. We see each other, we get drunk, smoke regular, laugh about old times… We grown ass men now so there was things we were doing back then that it would be a shame for me to even think of doing right now. Ok? But I loved it, every second of it.”

Jones went on to give shoutouts and blessings to the rest of Dipset and appreciate them still remaining relevant before the conversation shifted to Chrissy’s experience of being in a New Jersey mall during a shooting this past Monday night (Nov. 4).

“I almost got trampled coming out of the doors,” said Lampkin. “People were running out like crazy. Yeah, I heard he shots but it didn’t sound like the shots that I hear, you know, that I heard growing up. It was kind of like a low, barrely muffle sound so it sounded like, maybe, a gate from a store falling… And the echo in the mall made it sound different, and then it was on the other side of the mall, you could still hear it, and people just started running from everywhere. The people that worked in the stores were leaving their stores wide open.”

Jones went onto joke that the most tragic part was that  Chrissy left his food that was already paid for.
