Janelle Monáe wrote a letter to her “fandroids, electric ladies, supporters and jam lovers” on her website yesterday to inform them that she’ll be postponing tour dates for mandatory vocal rest.

Monáe had to postpone stops in Anaheim (Nov. 5), San Diego (Nov. 6) and Phoenix (Nov. 7) due to doctor’s warnings that she may have caused damage to her vocal cords otherwise. She ended the letter with an apology and a promise to see her fans sooner than they think. –Keith Reid-Cleveland
