Last week, Childish Gambino got on the airwaves with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club and said that he is “the son of Kanye.” In an interview with Fuse TV, the rapper further explained why he idolizes the self-proclaimed genius.

“I always thought he was a genius. I love Kanye. I think he’s like the best,” Gambino said. “Not even on just a music level because I try not to be like he’s a musician or he’s a rapper like that because I think that holds people back. I think he’s a prophet. He makes people want to be better.”

Keeping Yeezy at the most high, Childish also delved into why he could never be A$AP Rocky.

“I’m probably the most insecure person I know. I could never be A$AP Rocky,” he said. “He’s just too confident in himself.”
