Revolt TV was able to catch up with Kendrick Lamar before taking the stage at Powerhouse 2013 in Philadelphia. The Compton rapper’s Philly appearance was part of a break from the Yeezus Tour, where he gave insight on how it is to be on the same bill and touring with Kanye West.

“A lot of people don’t get the opportunity to be on a major stage with that many people and be able to learn,” Kendrick stated. “I’m just taking it all in stride and being a student of the game because Kanye, he’s a great performer and I’m not too shabby. I’m just there to really challenge myself, grow myself and really take it to the next level.”
