Although it may not accompany his LP à la 2 Chainz, Ja Rule has his sights set on whipping up a cookbook. His specialty? All microwavable meals.

The 37-year-old rapper–who was recently freed from a almost two-year sentence for tax evasion and a weapons charge–learned a thing or two about quick and hearty meals during his downtime. “I really didn’t eat prison food,” he told TMZ. “In jail, they’re pretty crafty. We made lasagna, we made cheesecakes, we had lot of things.”

He later announced turning those skills into cold, hard cash on the SiriusXM show, Food Talk. But for now, Ja is ramping up his acting chops, starring in the film I’m In Love With A Church Girl alongside Adrienne Bailon.

Who knows. Maybe his minute-meals will hit big–bands everywhere.
