The stars aligned this morning as Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds received the 2,508th star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. Known as the ‘Quincy Jones of the ’90s,’ Babyface was a curator and mastermind behind some of the most successful R&B/Pop artists and groups of that era such as Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Beyonce, and  just to name a few. Most notably, Babyface along with CEO of Epic Records L.A. Reid founded LaFace records, which broke some of the biggest acts in recent years such as TLC, Toni Braxton, and Usher.  A few of his celeb pals like Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Toni Braxton, Kenny G, L.A. Reid, Usher and more came out to celebrate what the Edmonds described the moment as a “surreal” moment in his career.

“[This] was not part of the plan. That’s what makes it an amazing thing.”

With over 100 top 10 R&B and pop singles over the years, the “Whip Appeal” singer is still hard at work with new artists including a duets album with Toni Braxton titled Love, Marriage, Divorce set to release on November 25. For more pictures from the event, hit the jump.
