Drake has gained a lot of attention and criticism about his latest track from Nothing Was The Same, entitledWu-Tang Forever”. Many were concerned about the lack of the Wu-Tang aestheticism despite the song being named after the clan.

Raekwon sat down with MTV to discuss his reaction to the new Drake single. He revealed how he appreciates the level of respect especially from the new guys in the game paying homage and whether he likes the track or not.

“At the end of the day, regardless of what, we were mentioned in a great way,” Raekwon said. “He named the title of his song after brothers, so however you did it, at the end of the day, it’s still love. It’s still respect there.” Raekwon says he’s not here to judge and believes it’s a beautiful thing to featured years later. He appreciates the unity.

While there he also confirmed that he will indeed be on the remix saying, “”I ain’t get a chance to bust my joint off yet, but I talked to Drake and we’re going to get to it.” – Shanae Hatchett
