Always entertaining, The Breakfast Club sat down for an interview with Lyfe Jennings to discuss many intriguing moments in his life such as shooting up his baby mom’s house, being in and out of prison and how R&B is dying.

Spawning the subject of the decline of R&B was the beef between Jennings and fellow artist Raheem Devaughn, which stemmed from a song titled “ABCs” created by Lyfe that challenged other singers to keep the genre alive. “The cat, he was emotional about it, he said a lot of things. Even on your show he said a lot of things, which we going to address,” Lyfe stated. A while back Raheem stopped by the Power 105.1 show and spoke with the crew about the incident between the two in which Lyfe saw and stated “I felt it was really cute, licorice like.”

The women side of R&B also had a moment of beef with Lyfe as K.Michelle refused to open or perform before Lyfe Jennings. Providing insight on the incident Lyfe stated “In her world she felt like she was a bigger star than me.” Lyfe then included his reasons for not wanting to headline.

Check out the full interview above to hear Lyfe speak on these issues as well as his forthcoming reality show and more.
