Jennifer Lopez has been added to the roster of DreamWork’s animated film Home, featuring bad girl Rihanna. The American Idol judge, who will play opposite Steve Martin, is set to play RiRi’s mother.

According to the press release the movie is based on the book The True Meaning of Smekday.

“Rihanna will voice a resourceful girl who avoids capture and unwittingly becomes the accomplice of a banished Boov (Parsons). Lopez will play the girl’s mother,” the descripted of the film reads.

The animated alien comedy is set for release in November 2014. –Shanae Hatchett
