To say I was familiar with Paris Jones or his music would be a lie. Having said that, his “Summer” video was intriguing for its symbolism if for nothing else.

Elements of Hip-Hop, R&B, pop and indie rock are littered throughout the near four-minute song. The video, well, consider it ironic he releases this video only days after summer ends and the video features a young woman who enters and exits a young man’s life on her own accord. There’s interracial relationships, infidelity and several more topics on display.

And for all that, it makes sense a song would be featured on a project with a title as unique as the song and video it encompasses. You’re Invited (to the Assassination of Patrick Campbell) drops October 8.
