Tupac Shakur’s legacy continues to live on as unreleased music and holographic images keep the deceased rapper forever relevant. Afeni Shakur, Tupac’s mother and co-administrator of his estate, is making sure she is protecting his legacy by suing Entertainment One for a breach in contract.

According to TMZ, Afeni Shakur has filed a lawsuit for $1.1 million for unpaid royalties stemming from Pac’s Beginnings: The Lost Tapes, which was released in June 2007 and features songs recorded in the very early stages of his career.

The lawsuit states E1 purchased the rights to Tupac’s music in July. Afeni is also looking to secure the master recordings for all of Tupac’s unreleased music. – Alley Olivier
