In the midst of preparing the long-awaited debut EP ‘Dear Sallie Mae’, newly signed Division 1/Interscope singer Tiara Thomas has some time to sit down and chop it up with Revolt TV.

The Indiana-raised singer, who grew her rise to fame on Wale’s “Bad” took the stage at the famous SOB’s venue, where she rocked out with a crowd of intimate fans for Hot 97.1’s Who’s Next? live series.

Behind the scenes Tiara had time to talk about the break of her success. “I grew up in Indiana all my life, I went to college in Indiana and so it’s just really crazy [with] everything that’s happened,” Tiara said about the break of the single.

The 20something-year-old starlet titled her debut EP Dear Sallie Mae because she knows that a lot of kids are still in school and are at the point where they are about to graduate and don’t know what they want to do with their lives. Other than owing Sallie Mae a couple hundred thousand in debt, most of them are scared. She goes on to say, “I just want people, especially young people, to be able to relate.”

Did you also know that the squeaks heard in the track “Bad” were actual real bed squeaks from a friends sex tape? Catch the BTS video after the jump and expect Dear Sallie Mae EP soon.
