Last night (Sept. 11) there was a shooting injuring four people during the release party for Fat Trel’s new mixtape, SDMG, at SOB’s in the SoHo area of New York City.

The New York Post reports, that the iconic Hip Hop spot erupted into chaos after midnight as shots rang out near the stage resulting in a stampede to escape the venue.

In a recently released statement, Darius “Sunny D” Davie, Fat Trel’s publicist, spoke out about the mayhem and against SOBs security:

“It went from a turnt up show to a battlefield in a matter of seconds. It was a pure stampede of people. After awhile I wasn’t worried about being stray bullets, I was worried about being run over by the mob of people. And I have a feeling that there was more than one gunman in that venue. As soon as I exited the venue safely, I wasn’t leaving until I knew Trel & Debo [Trel’s day to day manager] was ok. My question is…who the hell runs SOBs security?!”

Fat Trel never had the opportunity to perform any of the tracks from SDMG on stage and spoke out via Twitter stating: “THE INSIDE OF MY SHOW JUS GOT SHUT UP IN NYC!!!! #KKKRRAAAZZYYYY”. Sources from inside the club, stated the shooting stemmed from a argument from rival gangs, one of which traveled from New Jersey to attend the event.

The suspect was said to have escaped in a black Camaro. The police are currently in investigation.
