NBA Baller Shannon Brown and R&B Songstress Monica Brown are full of all things pink, pretty and lovely as they welcomed their new bouncing baby girl, Laiyah into the world this past Tuesday. Shannon released the first picture of him cradling his new pride and joy in an elegant leopard print blanket, while both draped in a white sheet. He included a small tidbit about his new baby girl saying,

“I THANK GOD for her!!! JOY has been restored in my LIFE!!!”

Monica’s sister-friend and fellow basketball wife Vanessa Bryant was actually the first to break the news on Instagram on Tuesday, giving her girlfriend a warm congratulations and letting the world know that ‘mommy and baby’ were doing well:

“I am so honored to announce that baby Laiyah Brown has arrived! Mommy and baby are healthy and well. Congratulations @shannonbrown26 and @monicamylife! We love you guys and we can’t wait to meet Laiyah! #6lbs 9/3/13”
