TMZ is reporting that Lupe Fiasco has been named as a defendant in a new lawsuit by the estranged wife, Inita Patton, of convicted drug kingpin, Charles “Chilly” Patton. Patton’s wife is accusing Fiasco of helping her husband move $9 million dollars into various accounts preventing her from accessing money as part of the couple’s divorce proceedings.

Before being sentenced to 44 years on drug charges in 2007, Chilly Patton was considered to be Lupe’s mentor and manager before his conviction. According to Patton’s ex-wife, a money trail has been uncovered and it goes directly through Lupe.

Lupe’s lawyer contacted TMZ and says Inita Patton’s accusations have no bearing stating, “There are no secret accounts and no illicit instructions.”
