Truth be told, I could write a dissertation as long as the New Testament on why the Dipset era of rap will forever be one of my favorite periods ever in life. In the interest of time and errands I must run this weekend, I’ll spare all of you fine people reading this. Just know, at some point, it will happen.

Anywho, random YouTube searches lead you to videos you previously never knew existed. Take this behind the scenes footage of Master P, Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones and more on the “Bout It, Bout It (Remix)” set. I’m a person who gets a kick off nostalgic stuff like this. So seeing Cam at the apex of his career, Dame Dash also at the height of his corporate powers, P getting crazy love in New York City and Juelz, Jimmy and Zeke running around like dudes just happy to be doing this rap thing full-time, it’s cool to watch.

Nothing exactly monumental happens here, but for those who desire to take a trip back in time this Saturday afternoon, here you go. Long live the “jersey era” (until Jay-Z killed it with one line pretty much). Long live this song. And long live The Dips’ run from like 2001-2006.
