It’s been less than 24 hours since the world has been medicated with Kanye West’s new song produced by Hit-Boy; “Theraflu.” And while Mr. West spoke on lots of issues the public has been itching to address, there is one particular organization that would not just stand idle in the midst of the controversy. PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) sent a very strong message to Kanye. In the song he spits, “Tell PETA my mink is draggin’ on the floor.” It didn’t take very long for the Senior Vice President of PETA, Dan Matthews, to give us all a piece of his mind via XXLMag.com.

“What’s draggin’ on the floor is Kanye’s reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings,” said Matthews. “He’s a great musician but doesn’t seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes. We keep hoping that one day he’ll find his heart and join evolved style icons—including Russell Simmons, Pink, and Natalie Portman—who have dropped animal skins.”

Now, PETA and Kanye have had it out before. In January 2010 he and his girlfriend of the time, Amber Rose were scrutinized for wearing fur to Paris Fashion Week. It was the very same Dan Matthews who addressed the matter then.

I wonder if we will be hearing from Kris Humpries, Kim Kardashian or Amber Rose about their mentions in the song anytime soon…
